Phonak Roger On Sphere: more attention for the conversation

Dinner with friends, a meeting with several colleagues or a presentation from the other side of the room: you want to follow along, but distance and background noise make listening difficult. The new Phonak Roger On Sphere is designed to help. This listening microphone will also be available in the Netherlands from 11 November 2026.

    Why use a separate microphone?

Your hearing aids sit at your ears. The person you want to hear may be some distance away. An external microphone picks up speech closer to the speaker and sends it to a suitable hearing solution. That means speech is captured closer to where it starts.

What is new with Roger On Sphere?

The main development is RogerSense OS. It uses AI to distinguish speech from background noise in real time. The processing helps bring out the speech you want to follow in a busy sound environment.

The microphone technology focuses on the source with the most favourable balance of speech and noise. Automatic listening modes adapt to the situation, for example when you move from a table conversation to a presentation.

At the table, at work and online

Over dinner, you want to focus on the people you are with. At work, you want to follow what is being discussed. Sphere supports table conversations and use by a presenter. In larger groups, several Sphere microphones can work together in a MultiTalker Network. You will need additional microphones for this.

Online calls and streaming are supported too. The processing also helps pick up your own voice more clearly. The connection you need depends on your equipment.

Sphere offers up to eight hours of continuous noise suppression. The benefit you experience depends on the environment and your hearing solution. It complements suitable hearing aids rather than replacing them.

Will Roger On Sphere work with your hearing aids?

You need suitable hearing devices with RogerDirect or a compatible Roger receiver. Bluetooth alone is not enough. Stereo sound requires a pair of devices with RogerDirect.

Have the combination checked against your exact hearing device. The Roger On Sphere product page brings together the connection requirements and product information.

    What is included?

The standard version contains one Roger On Sphere microphone, a power adapter with USB cable, a docking station, optical and analogue audio cables, a lanyard and a protective case. Please note: the Eco version is available only in black and comes without a power supply or docking station. The other listed accessories refer to the standard package and have not yet been separately confirmed for Eco. Any Roger receiver you need must suit your hearing aids and is not confirmed as part of this package.

In the Netherlands from 11 November
