The Oticon TV Adapter 3.0 lets you hear the TV through your hearing aids at a volume that suits you. Connect it to your TV and a power supply. You don't need a neckloop or ConnectClip for this.
Which hearing aids are compatible?
Suitable wireless Oticon versions include Intent, Real, More, Zircon, Play PX, Opn S, Opn, Opn Play, Xceed, Xceed Play, Ruby and Siya. Own and other custom devices need the 2.4 GHz wireless option; non-wireless versions cannot use this connection.
Oticon Medical Ponto 4 and Ponto 5 also support the adapter. Confirm the exact combination for house brands or other manufacturers. Brand, year or Bluetooth alone does not establish compatibility.
Recent Oticon models are included
Oticon also lists this accessory for Reveal miniRITE R, Intent miniRITE and miniBTE R, Play SI miniRITE and miniBTE R, Verit miniRITE T / miniBTE T 85 / BTE T 105, Jet PX miniRITE R and Zeal nxtCIC R. Other Jet PX versions and custom devices must support the required 2.4 GHz connection. Wireless Own ITC/ITE models are different from Own SI IIC/CIC; do not extend compatibility to those smaller versions.
Check your television’s audio output
- Optical/Toslink: the recommended route; digital stereo(PCM) and Dolby Digital are supported.
- Red/white RCA: use an audio output, not an input.
- 3.5 mm headphone output: use a suitable minijack-to-RCA connection. This may mute the television speakers.
- Mini-Toslink: an optical 3.5 mm socket requires an optical cable; it is different from an ordinary headphone socket.
The adapter has no HDMI input. The manual also describes SCART. Simultaneous listening through the TV or a soundbar depends on connections and settings.
Pairing and listening
Connect the adapter, restart your hearing aids and place them close to or on it. Blue lights confirm pairing. Then select the TV programme on your hearing aid or the TV source in the appropriate app. The stated range is up to 15 metres. Position the adapter unobstructed near the television.
For phone calls or a microphone worn by a speaker, ConnectClip serves a different purpose. You do not need to buy it to use this TV adapter.
