Do you wear a miniFit Grip Tip instead of a regular dome? Choose the same side, size and vent option when ordering replacements. You receive two Grip Tips in your chosen version. The receiver isn't included.
What is a Grip Tip?
A soft, preformed earpiece with a textured surface for extra grip. Your hearing care professional may select it when a standard dome fits poorly or does not seal sufficiently. More sealing can change sound and how your own voice feels. Less feedback or greater comfort is not guaranteed for everyone.
Eight versions
- Left or right: the shape differs by ear.
- Small or Large: choose your existing size.
- 2.4 mm vent or no vent: this affects the seal and sound settings.
Match all three details or ask which combination was fitted. Do not independently change from an open dome to a closed Grip Tip.
Compatible systems
Oticon lists Grip Tips for suitable miniFit receivers and Corda miniFit tubes. The Reveal miniRITE R, Play SI miniRITE, Verit miniRITE T and Jet PX miniRITE R/T manuals also list this earpiece type.
The specific miniFit Detect table lists Grip Tips for60 and 85, not 100 or 105. Bernafon Encanta miniRITE uses miniFit Detect and also lists Grip Tips. Follow the suitable receiver and prescribed version.
A shared brand does not make the earpiece universal. The connection and fitting must be appropriate.
Grip Tip or eargrip?
A Grip Tip sits in the ear canal. A miniFit Eargrip or miniFit Detect Grip is a support wire in the outer ear. They do not replace each other.
Replacement and care
Follow the receiver or tube instructions. Seat the replacement fully and check it is secure. Do not use damaged or distorted earpieces. Have the fit checked if you experience pressure, poor retention or changed sound.
