Want to use your own wired headphones with the TV without a long cable across the room? The Sennheiser Flex 5000 gives you a small clip receiver to plug them into. The transmitter stays by the television while you carry the receiver with you.
Set the sound your way
Three hearing profiles, a speech function and left/right balance let you adjust the TV sound to your preferences. The receiver has its own volume buttons, so you do not have to keep turning the television up to follow a conversation.
Which devices are compatible?
- Wired headphones with a 3.5mm stereo plug and an impedance of at least 16 ohms.
- TV or audio device with optical PCM or analogue 3.5mm audio output.
- Hearing aids with a telecoil, using a suitable 3.5mm induction loop such as the separately available Sennheiser EZT 3012.
The Flex 5000 does not connect directly to headphones or hearing aids via Bluetooth. An induction loop is not included. Whether the TV speakers can keep playing at the same time depends on your television.
Small and rechargeable
The clip receiver weighs approximately 33 grams. Its battery provides up to 12 hours of use and takes up to approximately 3 hours to charge fully. Range is up to 30 metres with a clear line of sight; walls and interference can reduce it.
What is included?
You receive the RR Flex clip receiver with battery, TR 5000 transmitter with charging dock, MX 475 earphones, NT5-10AW power supply with EU, UK, US and AU adapters, a 1.5-metre optical cable and 1.5-metre 3.5mm audio cable, plus safety and quick-start guides.
Do I still need a cable?
Yes. Your headphone cable still connects the headphones to the receiver clipped to your clothing. The link between the transmitter by your TV and the clip receiver is wireless.
