Is it time to replace your domes? You receive 10 Phonak domes in your chosen type and size. Choose the same type you currently wear: Cap, Open, Vented or Power. The shape affects how your hearing aid sounds and is part of its fitting.
Which receivers do these domes fit?
They fit Phonak SDS 4.0, SDS 5.0 and ordinary SDS 6.0 receivers. Examples include suitable Audéo Marvel, Paradise and Lumity versions, plus Audéo Infinio, Infinio Ultra and EON. The receiver actually fitted to your hearing aid determines compatibility, not the model name alone.
These are not replacements for the special Vented Dome Clear used with Sensor Receivers in Audéo Fit. Older receivers may need another system, such as Phonak Smokey Domes. For Unitron, too, the correct choice depends on the receiver and dome connection.
Choose the right type and size
- Cap: a small, open design in one size.
- Open: an open fit in S, M and L.
- Vented: a more closed fit with ventilation, in S, M and L.
- Power: a closed fit in S, M and L.
Dome size is separate from receiver length and power. Do not switch from Open to Power, or vice versa, without having the fitting checked. If a dome feels uncomfortable or your hearing aid whistles, have the fit and settings reviewed.
Replacing a dome
Hold the receiver and gently pull off the old dome. Slide the new dome over the end until it is securely attached. Check the attachment before placing it in your ear. Wipe the dome daily with a dry cloth. Replace it sooner if damaged, hard or brittle; ordinary domes should be replaced at least every three months.
These are ordinary domes, not EasyGuard domes. The receiver wax guard is a separate part and depends on the version. Replacing a dome alone will not clear a blocked wax guard.
