    Product description

    For your hearing aid's microphone inlet

    A T-cap keeps dirt away from the microphone opening on a compatible Oticon in-the-ear hearing aid. If it gets blocked, the sound may become quieter. This is the microphone filter; the ProWax or ProWax miniFit filter at the sound outlet is a different part.

    Does T-cap fit my hearing aid?

    Your hearing aid must already have a T-cap fitting. The Oticon Own SI IIC/CIC manual describes this filter system. Some older Oticon in-the-ear models also use T-cap; check the filter actually fitted to your device. O-cap and other microphone protection systems are not interchangeable with T-cap. The brand or colour alone is not enough to choose.

    Choose your colour

    You receive eight T-cap filters in your selected colour. Options are beige, light brown, medium brown, dark brown and black. Match the colour to the outer face of your hearing aid or your current packaging.

    Replacing the filter

    1. Take a replacement tool from the pack. One end removes the old filter; the other holds the new one.
    2. Slide the fork under the top edge of the old T-cap and lift it out.
    3. Insert the new T-cap and twist the tool slightly to release it.
    4. Discard the used tool and check the filter is secure.

    Work over a soft surface. Do not force the opening; have the component checked if the filter does not fit correctly.
