Does this retention lock fit?
It is for the miniFit Detect receiver, as used in Oticon Intent miniRITE, Reveal miniRITE R, Play SI miniRITE and Bernafon Encanta miniRITE. Check the actual receiver; a series name alone is insufficient for custom configurations.
For standard miniFit receivers use the standard miniFit ear grip. A Grip Tip is instead the earpiece inside the ear canal, not a retention lock.
Which version?
- 60: for miniFit Detect receiver 60.
- 85: for miniFit Detect receiver 85.
- 100: for miniFit Detect receiver 100.
The number refers to the receiver, not the diameter of your dome. Match your existing receiver designation.
Use and replacement
The lock attaches to the receiver and its flexible end rests in the bowl of the outer ear. The dome remains a separate part. Have the initial fitting demonstrated if you do not know the connection. Do not force it or pull the receiver wire.
Replace a damaged or distorted lock. If the dome still moves or causes pressure, have the size and fit checked. A retention lock does not guarantee against losing the entire hearing aid.
