    Product description

    Looking for original Oticon ProWax miniFit filters? They protect the matching receiver from earwax. Check your current pack before ordering: ProWax miniFit is different from the larger ProWax filter.

    Does ProWax miniFit fit?

    The actual receiver or earmould determines the filter. Brand or “miniRITE” alone is insufficient. ProWax miniFit and the larger ProWax are different systems.

    • Oticon Reveal and Play SI miniRITE: the standard miniFit Detect receiver uses ProWax miniFit. Reveal MicroShell Detect 60/85 also uses it; MicroShell Detect 100/105 uses ProWax.
    • Verit miniRITE T and Jet PX miniRITE R/T: ProWax miniFit is used in the receiver. A custom earmould may use ProWax.
    • Zeal: ProWax miniFit protects the fixed receiver. O-Cap is a different microphone filter; some MicroMoulds also have ProWax.
    • Bernafon Encanta miniRITE: the manual describes ProWax miniFit in the receiver and ProWax in suitable custom earmoulds.
    • Philips HearLink miniRITE T/R: the matching receiver uses ProWax miniFit. Use the same filter type as before.

    Older devices may also use it. Sonic, Audika and other house brands need the matching prescribed filter system; this is not a guarantee for every model from a brand.

    Which pack is this?

    This is the separate “Original” item. For the six-filter pack sold as an AllesVoorOren item, see ProWax miniFit –6 filters. The larger system requires ProWax. The filter types are not interchangeable.

    Replacing the filter

    1. Remove the dome if the filter is in the receiver. Work with dry hands over a soft surface.
    2. Insert the empty end of a fresh tool into the old filter and gently pull it out.
    3. Turn the tool around, seat the new filter and withdraw the tool.
    4. Discard the used tool, check the filter is secure and firmly refit the dome.

    Do not force it and always use the same filter type. A receiver behind a custom earmould may require replacement by your hearing care professional. Replace a blocked filter; do not pierce or wash its mesh.
