Follow what is being said on television without turning up the sound for everyone else. The Sennheiser Set 880 lets you wear a lightweight stethoset receiver and control your own volume. Its transmitter connects to the television and also serves as the charging station.
Adjust the sound to suit you
Choose from five hearing profiles to bring out higher frequencies or quieter passages, for example. Balance control lets you adjust the level between your left and right ears. The speech-intelligibility feature reduces distracting background sounds in the TV audio to make conversations easier to follow. It does not cancel sounds in your room. Start at a comfortable volume, then try the settings that help you.
Connect a television and radio
The transmitter has an optical digital input and an analogue 3.5 mm input. For an optical connection, your television must output PCM stereo; Dolby and DTS are not supported. Two sources can remain connected, and you choose which one to hear at the transmitter, such as television or radio. Whether other people can listen through the TV speakers at the same time depends on your television and its output. The Set 880 uses its own wireless connection, not Bluetooth.
Move around and recharge easily
The battery provides up to approximately 18 hours of use. Range is up to 70 metres in favourable conditions; walls and other wireless equipment can reduce it. The receiver switches on when you put it on and off when you remove it. Return it to the charging compartment after use. A full charge takes approximately three hours.
Listen together and find a comfortable fit
With additional suitable receivers, up to four people can listen through the transmitter simultaneously. This set includes one RR 800 receiver; extra receivers are available separately. Choose ear pads that fit comfortably and clean them regularly as instructed. The ear pads sit in your ear canals: this is not a streamer that sends audio directly to your hearing aids.
What is in the box?
You receive 1 RR 800 stethoset receiver with built-in battery, 1 TR 880 transmitter with charging station and 1 NT 5-10AW power supply with EU, UK, US and AU plug adapters. The set also contains one pair each of large silicone, small silicone, memory foam and open foam ear pads. The large silicone pair is already fitted. Also included are 1 optical cable measuring 1.5 metres, 1 analogue 3.5 mm cable measuring 1.5 metres, 1 RCA adapter, a quick guide and safety information. You do not need to order these connection cables separately.
Start quietly
Set a low volume before putting on the receiver and increase it gradually. The Set 880 can provide substantial amplification; you do not need prolonged loud listening to try its settings. Read the safety instructions in the manual before use.
