This pack contains ten miniFit OpenBass domes in your choice of 5, 6, 8, 10 or 12 mm. Stick with the size and type you already wear. Both matter for the fit and the sound.
Matching the receiver and size
OpenBass is used with Oticon More and suitable later versions such as Intent with miniFit Detect. Dome diameter is different from receiver designations 60,85 or 100.
- miniFit Detect 60: OpenBass in 5, 6, 8, 10 and 12 mm.
- miniFit Detect 85:6, 8, 10 and 12 mm; 5 mm is not listed.
- miniFit Detect 100/105: OpenBass is not listed as a suitable option.
- Opn S: Oticon lists 5 mm OpenBass as an exception; larger OpenBass sizes are not specified for Opn S in that overview.
Bernafon Encanta also uses miniFit Detect with OpenBass as an option. For Philips HearLink and other miniFit devices, the connection and prescribed dome must match.
Compare part numbers
5 mm: 218355; 6 mm: 212677; 8 mm: 212678; 10 mm: 212679; 12 mm: 212680. Part 218355 also appears under our miniFit Open Domes; you do not need to order it twice. Open and OpenBass are otherwise different types, not interchangeable merely because their diameter matches.
Recent models and Zeal
Reveal miniRITE R, Play SI miniRITE, Verit miniRITE T and Jet PX miniRITE R/T list OpenBass. Choose the appropriate receiver combination; 5 mm is restricted to the specified 60 receiver.
Zeal nxtCIC R has a fixed 75 receiver and uses 6, 8, 10 or 12 mm OpenBass.5 mm is not listed for it. The miniFit Detect table above does not apply to this Zeal receiver.
Replacement and care
Follow your model’s care instructions. Wipe the dome with a soft cloth as directed and replace it if blocked, damaged or due for replacement. Oticon recommends replacement at least monthly. Zeal domes should be replaced rather than washed, monthly or more often if needed.
- Hold the receiver and carefully pull off the old dome.
- Push a new dome of the same type and size fully onto the connection.
- Check it is secure before putting the device in your ear.
A different type or size can change the fit and sound. Have such a change assessed first.
