Want your Signolux receiver to alert you to an existing doorbell, timer or intercom? The Soundmonitor learns up to three recognisable sound patterns and sends a radio signal to paired receivers when it detects one.
Sounds must repeat in the same way, such as a fixed chime or an appliance beep. Crying or changing voices are therefore not a reliable use. Place the Soundmonitor close to the sound source, teach each sound separately and test the complete connection afterwards.
This is a Lisa-Signolux transmitter, not a standalone flashing or vibrating receiver. A compatible Signolux receiver is needed separately. Older Lisa radio devices use a different system. The mains adaptor provides normal power; the three supplied AA NiMH batteries provide backup for about 16 hours during a power cut. This device does not replace a suitable smoke or carbon monoxide alarm.
