Would you like to hear calls, podcasts or music directly through your RONDO 3? The AudioStream Adapter plugs into the processor and receives audio from a compatible smartphone or tablet. During calls, you hear the other person through your processor and speak into your phone’s microphone.
Which devices are compatible?
This adapter is for MED-EL RONDO 3. An iPhone or iPad needs Made for iPhone hearing-device support. Android requires Android 10 or later with ASHA support enabled. Bluetooth alone is not enough. Listed examples include OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro, and Oppo Find X5 and X3 Pro. Check the exact Google Pixel or Samsung Galaxy model through the compatibility list below.
Listening with both ears
Two suitable processors and adapters let you listen in stereo. With one processor, the left and right channels are mixed. Simultaneous streaming to a hearing aid needs a compatible combination: Android 12 or later and an ASHA hearing aid, with listed examples including Oticon More, Real and Intent, ReSound OMNIA and Nexia, and Signia Pure Charge&Go IX. For iOS, MED-EL lists Starkey Edge AI and Genesis AI. Always check the exact combination and settings.
Set it up once, then reconnect
Configure the adapter once using AudioKey 3 and pair your phone. The app does not need to remain open for everyday streaming. Configure two adapters as a pair. Streaming uses additional processor battery power. The adapter also allows RONDO 3 to connect to AudioLink XT.
Things to bear in mind
The adapter cannot be used together with WaterWear for RONDO 3. Opening the socket cover means the processor’s IP68 protection no longer applies, so protect the connection from water. The adapter is not suitable for children under 3.

You receive 1 AudioStream Adapter with case, article 44786. A RONDO 3, smartphone and any second adapter are not included.
