Like all hearing aid brands, Oticon has its own filter systems. And Oticon does make a big deal of it. They have designed a filter system for every type of speaker or hearing aid. Therefore, it is very important that you order the right filter for your hearing aid. These include the Oticon Prowax filter, the Prowax minifit, the nowax filter and the waxstop filter. Oticon Prowax minifit

The most commonly used filter is the prowax MiniFit filter. This system can be found on most speaker-in-ear hearing aids, especially those with a MiniRite speaker. You can often just find the right type of filter in the booklet that came with it. It is simply listed there.

Are there any other Oticon filters then?

Yes indeed, Oticon is one of the few manufacturers to offer interchangeable filters for in the tone curve of behind-the-ear hearing aids. You can replace these Oticon Damper Filters yourself. But that's not all; oticon also has its own filter system for in-the-ear hearing aids. Usually this is the Prowax or NoWax Filter but there is also a filter for the microphones. The T-Cap or O-cap filters protect the sensitive microphone of your ITE hearing aids.
