The Ear Gear Cochlear Implant M1 Corded consists of two soft, close-fitting sleeves that slide over the sound processors. Their double layer of nylon and spandex absorbs moisture and helps keep sweat, rain, dust and dirt away from sensitive components. The acoustically transparent material allows sound to pass through without affecting the processor’s operation.
The elastic safety cord is attached to the sleeves and fastens to clothing with the clip. If a processor falls off the ear, it remains attached to the cord. This reduces the risk of the processor becoming damaged or lost.
The M1 sleeves are only sold as a pair. If you only use one processor or prefer to wear the sleeves without the safety cord, you can carefully cut the cord off close to the sleeve. Take care not to cut into the sleeve fabric. After removing the cord, the sleeves can be used normally without it.
Hand-wash the sleeves in warm water with a mild detergent. Do not use bleach and allow the sleeves to air-dry completely before placing them back over the processors.

You will always receive two sleeves. Slide them over the processors and attach the clip to your clothing. This helps protect the processors from sweat and dirt while making them harder to lose. If you do not want to use the cord, you can carefully cut it off.
